Jamie Gianfala
Chief Marshal
With nearly 30 years of experience in law enforcement, Chief Jamie Gianfala was named Chief Marshal on September 18, 2020. His prior service included 21 years at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and eight years at the Marshal’s Office, where he served as the Deputy Chief Marshal. Chief Gianfala earned a Bachelor’s degree from Reinhardt University, a Master’s Degree in Public Safety Administration from Columbus State University. As a Georgia Peace Officers Standard Training (POST) Certified Instructor, Chief Gianfala acts as an Adjunct Instructor at the Roger D. Garrison Law Enforcement Training Center. Chief Gianfala serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Master’s program at Reinhardt University and Columbus State University Professional Management Program.
