On March 11, 2020, the Cherokee Marshal's Office honored Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit District Attorney, Shannon Wallace, for her great partnership with Law Enforcement.
On June 19, 2018, the Cherokee Marshal's Office was recognized by the Yaarab Shriners Organization for the Outstanding Service to their organization and its charitable fundraising activities.

The Animal Control division consist on six officers. This division is under the supervision of Sergeant McMullen.
